HORTICULTURAL INSPECTION SOCIETY
Central Chapter
DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT
1. Preside over meetings of the Horticultural Inspection Society, Central Chapter, and call and preside over meetings of the Societies Executive Committee.
2. Assure that lines of communication within the Horticultural Inspection Society, Central Chapter have been established and are being utilized.
3. Appoint members to standing committees and establish ad-hoc committees to accomplish specific actions in keeping with the objectives and mission of the Horticultural Inspection Society. The President will fill vacancies in standing committees.
4. Assure that committee chairpersons are properly conducting their duties and accomplishing assigned tasks.
5. Assure the lines of communication between the Horticultural Inspection Society, Central Chapter, and the Central Plant Board are established and that any communication request from the Central Plant Board Executive Committee is provided on a timely basis.
NOTES
1. The following committees need to be appointed by the President at the annual meeting: Nominations, Resolutions, and Audit.
2. Standing committees: Inspectors Guide Committee.
3. A representative must be sent to the Central Plant Board meeting each year.
4. The Executive Committee is made up of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, and the immediate past President.
5. According to the By-laws, the time and place of the annual meeting is to be determined by the Executive Committee.
